But first some background. Before I started 6 months ago I was in pretty bad shape--probably in the same shape as most American are. Well a little worse IMO. I was 219 pounds in a 5'8" frame, I should probably weight between 155 and 180. My lungs were shot, I smoked and had zero cardio activity. I went up a flight of stairs one day and was gasping for breath. At 30 years of age this should not happen and that was my starting point, I had to to something. Later, I sent out a text message to a few friends about playing tennis or basketball or something to get me going. I got one response back. My now good friend Andrew said come with me to my gym. I said I need cardio not weights, he's response was "trust me it has everything you will need to get in shape and have a healthier life." The Next day I was in Jupiter, FL at Hard Exercise Works.
